Why We Must Face Our Fears
It is important to note that we all have fears. Some are positive and keep you from legitimate harm, while others are negative and only cause your body harm because no real present danger is imminent. In addition, our mind may be telling us that we are fine and have handled the stress, but our body is saying something different. We often don’t even realize we are in adrenal stress causing all sorts of physical ailments including anxiety, fatigue, and inflammation to name a few. I personally didn’t realize my body was in acute adrenal fatigue several years ago. I just got so used to dealing with a heightened level of stress that it became normal. It is often that slow constant distress that is caused by an imbalance in life. If this is you, check out the article Stillnessinthestorm, for more insight.
“The tricky part is even knowing you are under constant stress; the lingering low-grade kind of stress that kills very slowly. We tend to adjust, to accept, to allow. But when it comes to stress, it’s not a healthy idea.” From “How Stress Affects Your Adrenal Health and What to do About it”, Stillnessinthestorm
Finding The Light of You
My desk lamp (from Pottery Barn) is an inspiration…really, read on. What unconsciously attracted me is the strong iron core from base to top that connects to the light. It is made of transparent crystal signifying honesty and integrity with nothing to hide. What you see on the outside is what is on the inside, no distortions. My light is deeply grounded in the earth, but connects strongly upward. Even though it's transparency can be vulnerable, it is protected with the hard crystal, not allowing energy that is not suited to penetrate the field.
It is an inspiration to live like this but is definitely not easy in the world we occupy today. The natural world just grows and does not have misconceptions of who it is. It connects with its source energy and becomes who it was destined to become from the seed, assuming the environment is not too toxic. Unfortunately, humanity throughout time has taken on many distortions and is conflicted on how to proceed. What you see on the outside in most cases is not what is inside.
Opening Your Lens of Perspective
When I describe the mission of Raising the Vibe, I often use the analogy of a camera lens. This non-profit’s mission is to open up your point-of-view, or consciousness, like widening the aperture of the camera lens. When we open up to other ideas of our reality, pushing our all-knowing ego to the side, we can bring in more love and light to activate our DNA. This in turn raises our vibration to a higher, more authentic level so we can experience a more positive reality.
